Multiple Ph.D. positions are open starting Spring 25/Fall 25 with fully covered tuitions and stipend
Research Areas
- End-to-end learning control for autonomous driving
- Connected and automated vehicles (CAV)
- Cooperative driving automation (CDA)
- Model based and learning based optimal control (e.g., reinforcement learning)
Requirements
- MS/BS degree in a related engineering discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Highly motivated and have strong interest in conducting research in at least one of the above areas
- Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Matlab/Simulink, Python, C++, Julia
- Preferred to have research experience in learning based modeling and control, AI/machine learning, dynamic systems and control, real-time control systems and HIL simulation (e.g., dSPACE), or related areas
